Enjoy the awesome beauty of southern Utah during this pre-spring ride. Leave the spinning rooms and the cold of winter behind and escape with us to Utah’s scenic Dixie. Get an early start on the season and enjoy the warmth of the south. Join us as we ride to the entrance of Zion National Park on a leisurely route that will allow you to get out on the road, test your legs, relax, and enjoy your first organized ride of the season.

Help Support Children – Spina Bifida is the number 1 physically disabling birth defect. Proceeds of this ride will be used ot provide education to the parents of children that suffer from the disability and to provide fun activities for our local children that suffer from the debilitating effects of Spina Bifida. 100% of all additional donations go directly to the Spina Bifida Association of Utah. Meet our volunteers at your lunch and rest stops and learn first hand about Spina Bifida.

Date - Saturday February 25, 2012

Time - Registration 7:00 to 8:30 am.  Ride starts at 8:00 am and all riders must be on the road by 9:00 am.

Location - Hurricane Community Center 63 South 100  West,  Hurricane, UT

Directions - I-15 to exit 16.  East on SR 9  9.4 miles to 100 West.  Turn Right and proceed 1/2  block to Community Center, on Left.   We’ll be where all the bikes are.

LodgingHoliday Inn Express (435-986-1313) is the official host hotel for the Zion Country Century, Comfort Inn Zion (435-635-3500), Days Inn Hurricane (435-635-0500), and Super 8 Hurricane (435-635-0808)  and have all offered special rates for participants. When making your reservation you must mention B2B to receive the special rates. Please make your reservations as early as possible (at least before 2-6-20) due to the high rate of vistors looking for an escape from the cold at this time of year.  Further information is available at the link to the left.

Registration & Check-In - Early registration is encouraged, however registration will be accepted up to the morning of the event. Check-In will be available Friday night at Holiday Inn Express from 5:30 to 8:30 pm and beginning 7:00 am at the Community Center.  Early Check-In and Registration will also be available:

Tuesday 2-21 Bountiful Bicycle (2481 So Hwy 89)  Bountiful  4:30 to 6:oo pm

Wednesday 2-22 Cottonwood Cyclery (2494 E Bengal Blvd) Cottonwood Heights 4:30 to 6:30 pm

Safety - All riders must be aware of and observe the traffic laws of the state of Utah. The road ways along the course of this event are rural roads but are not closed. Be prepared to share the road with vehicular traffic. Use proper hand signals for all turns and stops, for the safety of drivers and your fellow riders, and stay as far as reasonable to the right.  All riders must obey the Rules of the Road.  All riders are required to wear a helmet, and to ride single file, except for passing. Please be courteous to your fellow riders and other drivers of vehicles.  All riders must be off the roads by 4:30 pm.  For safety concerns only one (1) ear bud may be used to listen to music while riding.

Equipment Drop Off - Mornings can be cold and you will want to wear enough clothing to be comfortable. As the day warms up you may need to shed some clothing. You will be provided with a bag at registration suitable for equipment and clothing. Simply write your name on the bag, place your items inside, seal it, and we will take it to the finish for you to retrieve. The first two rest stops will have someone to help you bag and label your belongings and see that it gets returned to the start. B2B will not be responsibe for lost or stolen items.

Waiver – All Riders will be required to sign a waiver during check-in. No one may sign for another rider. (except guardians).

Friday Nite Pasta Mixer - 6:00 to 8:00 pm – Come join us for a pasta party the night before. Get your carbs and meet your friends and fellow riders. Watch cycling videos & learn more about Spina Bifida. Join us in the Holiday Inn Express conference room. Pick up your registration packet and have a fun evening.

Bailey’s Finish Line Bar-B-Q Celebration – You just completed an awesome effort and you deserve a good meal. Why not join us for a BBQ? You will have your choice of Bar-B-Q’d steak, chicken, or veggie entree. in additon there will be corn on the cob, Dutch oven baked beans, salads, and all the trimmings, plus some decadent desserts for a fantastic, finger lickin way to relax and enjoy the companionship of new and old friends.

Volunteers - Volunteers are needed before, during, and after the event. If your partner is riding and you’re not, come join us. You will have fun and meet some great people. You will receive a great pair of socks, snacks, a meal, and our gratitude for volunteering.
